Anxiety & Emotional Overwhelm

Building a different relationship with anxiety.

Anxiety doesn't always look like panic. Sometimes it's a constant hum of worry, a mind that won't switch off, or a body that stays braced even when nothing's actively wrong.

What we work on

  • Overthinking decisions, big or small
  • Difficulty relaxing, even when there's nothing urgent to do
  • Physical tension — a tight chest, restlessness, trouble sleeping
  • Avoiding situations that feel unpredictable or high-stakes
  • Feeling anxious in social settings, or after them

How I approach it

I draw on CBT to understand what's maintaining the anxiety in the present, and schema therapy to look at where some of these patterns first took shape. We work at your pace, there's no pressure to "fix" it quickly.

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)Schema Therapy
"Most people don't lose anxiety entirely, that's not usually the goal, they build a different relationship with it. Less reactive, more able to tell the difference between real threat and old alarm bells."
