Emotion Regulation & Patterns
Steadier ways to respond.
Some emotions arrive fast and large, harder to name in the moment, harder still to explain afterward. If you've noticed the same relational or emotional pattern showing up again and again, this is often where it's addressed.
Book a Free CallWhat we work on
- Emotions that feel disproportionate to the situation
- Difficulty pausing before reacting
- Swinging between over-control and losing control
- A sense of repeating the same relationship or conflict pattern
- Feeling like you know what you "should" do but can't quite do it
How I approach it
I use dialectical behaviour therapy for building concrete regulation skills, alongside schema therapy to understand the longer-standing pattern underneath the moment-to-moment reaction.
